My journey as a makeup artist was where I truly began to understand deep down that I am, without a doubt, an artist. I created things I never imagined I could… tiny masterpieces painted on faces. Who knew?

Glowing, colorful skin became my signature a style born from something I loved on myself. From the very beginning, my favorite part of makeup was highlighter: the shimmer on the high points of the face, catching the light, kissing the skin. There was something about that glow that excited me, that warmed me from the inside.

I was and am, and always will be in love with highlighter. You’ll hear more about that in Chapter 3. But for now, just enjoy her.

The Art of Eye Contact

If I’m honest, what you see here is not even half of the extent of my creativity. But the aesthetic and flow of this digital book matter to me, so I’ve chosen the images that best fit this chapter’s heartbeat.

Makeup artistry has been and the purest form of self-love I have ever practiced. It taught me to trust myself, to quiet my mind, and let my hands lead. It gave me the joy of playing with colors in ways that delighted my inner child, ways she never got to experience when she was small. What better way to love a person, than to love them like that?

Behind The Scenes

As you can see, my career has its moments of softness and restraint those subtle, understated looks that whisper rather than shout. And then there are the moments when I’m given the freedom to let my creativity burst wide open. This, what you see in the behind the scenes videos above is what’s born from that trust.

I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has allowed me to express myself this way, and to the teams who brought these visions to life. Every production here was a collaboration, each person playing their part to perfection. Without that harmony, the artistry you see would never have reached its fullest expression.
